Swoop Gift Guide: Hey Dude!
The Swoop rarely dabbles in the realm of male shopping, but hey, it's the holidays and everyone deserves a little ethical and sustainable love. See below for some great picks for the special gents in your life:
- ONE: I'm committed fan of all things Everlane (as you well know), but this cashmere sweater just took us to an entirely new level. Not only is it super fly looking AND made in a safe factory, BUT cashmere at these prices?! Sweeten the deal by throwing in a t-shirt for a *light* but maybe also totally obvious styling suggestion.
- TWO: I'm not sure what it is about men that makes everyone think to give bar accessories-- but here I am being as basic as the next blogger. But these aren't just any bar accessories-- these tumblers are made from Ankole Horn by artisans in Uganda using only by-products from food production. If you want to sweeten this deal, add in a bottle of your favorite spirit. A word to the wise-- be careful while browsing the Rose & Fitzgerald website. Things might just accidentally end up in your cart.
- THREE: Full disclosure-- I received a pair of Allbirds Wool Runners as a gift from a dear friend, so I can't entirely claim this as my idea. BUT it was such a perfect and thoughtful present, I couldn't help but share! Allbrids is committed to making shoes better and uses sustainable farming to raise their New Zealand wool. Plus, these shoes are amazingly comfortable and all the rage in NYC (and maybe elsewhere? But I just live here!). I have gifted them twice to others and they are always a crowd favorite.
- FOUR: The save the back campaign continues. And why not rope in your favorite male loved one with this super cool STATE Backpack? For every backpack purchased, STATE donates one stocked with all the school essentials to an American child in need.
- FIVE: The truth is, some people are just super difficult to shop for-- enter the the Gratitude Collaborative Gift Box. Each box features a mix of finds sure to suit any of your hardest to please Christmas customers. All gifts are curated from local artisans-- and a portion of all gift box proceeds are donated to organizations fighting hunger right here in the US.
- SIX: Another gift... another stolen idea... this time from my brother in law, who introduced me to Bombas Socks. For every pair of socks purchased, a pair are donated to someone in need. Did you know socks are the most requested item in shelters? Bombas has managed to donate over a million pairs in just 2 years of existence. As if you needed anything else, the word on the street (or word directly from my brother in law) is that these socks are awesome. Take that standard present and show it who the boss is by giving the coolest pair of socks around.
